Barre

Using Fletcher Barrework® and Fletcher Towelwork® techniques you will experience a full body workout that demands postural endurance, breath, and dynamic spinal alignment. This standing Pilates work offers a movement experience that will help build strength and posture in your daily standing, sitting, and movement experiences. This studio class has a maximum of 5 participants.

Fusion

A great way to experience many of the Fletcher Pilates® elements all in one class. This fusion brings it all together to provide a full body challenge. Fletcher Barrework® will tone your lower body and Fletcher Towelwork® will balance and mobilize your shoulder girdle. We include Fletcher Floorwork® to work your hips and build a flexible spine. The Magic Circle exercises will build shoulder stability and strength. This studio class has a maximum of 5 participants.

Core Mobility

Based on finding your centre, precise initiation from the core and breath supported movements, Core Mobility encourages and challenges strength and flexibility through a slight twist of the classical Mat syllabus. As an added bonus, small equipment such as the Foam Roller and Fletcher Braided Towel are used to support and intensify each exercise, resulting in core connection through mobility rendering a full body workout. This studio class has a maximum of 5 participants.

Barrel

This class is taught on the Pilates Spine Corrector, providing the ultimate support to strengthen your core and improve spinal mobility. Each class is progressive, beginning with a standing warm-up, leading into a full-body movement experience! This studio class is not advised for participants who has osteoporosis, osteopenia, herniated disk or bulging disk. Please call the studio if you need any guidance as to what class you could take instead.

Healthy Backs

A perfect program for clients who want to prevent injuries, aches, and pains. This class is gentle yet challenging. It is for students who are rehabilitating injuries or have special physical considerations. We also designed it for students with osteoporosis, osteopenia, scoliosis, or disk herniations. We use a series of supported movements that build stability of the spine and mobility of the joints. You will learn how to work from the inside out, learn how to take care of your body, and build core strength. The Prelude program will offer personal assessment and discussion with our staff at Articulate Bodies which is a prerequisite for enrollment in this program.

Form equipment class

This innovative small group equipment class on the Reformer, Wunda Chair, Ped-i-pul, and Wall Tower uses movements that alternate every week. The movement repetitions in this class will challenge your entire body safely yet offers a full body conditioning program where strength and flexibility are achieved. You will learn how to move your body in a graceful and deliberate manner that builds symmetrical muscle strength, body tone, and mental coordination. This class is designed for new to intermediate Pilates students. You must have taken the Intro to Pilates Equipment, a Solo Prelude, or Prelude Program before registering for this class.

Precision equipment class

This innovative small group equipment class on the Reformer, Wunda Chair, Ped-i-pul, and Wall Tower uses movements that alternate every week. This is an energetic and dynamic workout that will challenge your mind-body stamina. The movements will create length and articulation of the body. This class is designed for intermediate to experienced Pilates students. You must have taken the Intro to Pilates Equipment, a Solo Prelude, or Prelude Program before registering for this class.

Endurance equipment class

This innovative small group equipment class on the Reformer, Wunda Chair, Ped-i-pul, and Wall Tower uses movements that alternate every week. This enriching class will challenge the limits of your physical abilities. You will learn to use the tempo of your breath to maintain proper Pilates form over a sustained period. The smooth, continuous movements will improve your health, well-being, and resilience. This class is designed to challenge advanced level Pilates students. You must have taken the Intro to Pilates Equipment, a Solo Prelude, or Prelude Program before registering for this class.

Ballet Bits

You love watching ballet performance and always wanted to learn the basic ballet techniques. Have fun moving to classical music in our adult ballet class. Learn from National Ballet of Canada and other contemporary dance company professionals.It is not required to take the Intro to Pilates classes before attending this class.

Stretching the Lines (An element of Fascial Movement Training)

 

This stretch class is a series of active expansion movements. You'll be constantly reaching your extremities in specific directions, using breath to create motion from within your body and actively loading the myofascial Anatomy Trains lines as mapped by Thomas Myers. This is NOT a stretch class where you go into a position, relax and collapse. This class is designed to facilitate length, space within your joints and a calm sense. Note: There will be a fare amount of kneeling in this class. We provide mats.
